For the past two years Shouts of Joy Ministries has been working diligently on the preparation of orphan Eric Irivuzumugabe’s book titled, My Father, Maker of the Trees. It has been a labor
of love and obedience and has been quite a journey. We have all learned so much. Not only about the amazing labyrinth producing a book these days is involved in, but also deep secrets

of the survivors
and their hearts as they rise from sheer trauma and encounters with absolute evil. Their courage and resiliency is nothing short of amazing. To see God's hand not only in the restoration of these beloved
people but even working through the time of evil caused us all great humility as we grasp His unfailing love for us, His purposes for our lives, and His unwavering ability to raise greatness out of ashes.
Eric’s book is about to hit the shelves this September and we are busy preparing for speaking engagements, book sales, raising awareness of the plight of orphans from genocide, and so much more.
One of the milestones we began last month was designing a web site just for Eric. The name of the site is: www.irivuzumugabe.com. Eric’s
last name in English means “Word of the King”. The website will be a strategic hub where folks can find information on the book, his ministry, his affiliations, stories of survivors, and the
history of Rwanda. Baker Publishing House just purchased the URL:
www.myfathermakerofthetrees.com and have begun construction

of the site that
will be focusing on the book alone. So things are going rapidly. As I Google Eric’s name and see so many sites where anyone in the world can find him now I am truly amazed that thousands are being fed by
one small lunch. (Click here to see article about how the book came to be.)
Pre orders for the books that will come in August can be made by following this link. Those first copies
are going quickly so to support Shouts of Joy Ministries and get your copy as soon as possible; please pre order through SOJ. And let us know what you think of Eric’s web site! Comments and suggestions very
appreciated!

Candle Light Vigil for Rwanda
Thursday, April 30th at 8:00 p.m. Downtown Little Chute, Shouts of Joy Ministries will be hosting a prayer vigil for the survivors of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda where over 1,000,000 people were killed in 100 days.
April is a national time of mourning in Rwanda and the survivors experience a deep sense of grief during these days as new found loved ones who were slaughtered in '94 are finally buried at services all across
the country. Last year a group from SOJ was able to join the mourners in Rwamagana and Kigali and experienced firsthand the profoundly moving services. This year please join us as we light a candle of Hope and
pray for restoration and continued revival in Rwanda.
