Tracey Lawrence
Tracey Lawrence is the collaborative writer of Eric Irivuzumugabe's personal testimony in the book "Father : Maker of Trees." Eric is a survivor of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda
and his story addresses both forgiveness and hope in the darkest of circumstances. Tracey will be speaking at our Dinner for Rwanda
about her experiences while writing the book and also while visiting Rwanda. Her insight is refreshing and deeply inspirational.

Tracey D. Lawrence is a freelance writer and editor, serving as a collaborative writer and researcher for academia, ministries,
and other organizations. She has served in the publishing industry for the past nine years, working with Word, Zondervan, Tyndale,
Thomas Nelson, Group Publishing, Time Warner and others. Some writing projects include: "When Churches Unite" (NavPress), "PK Men's Study Bible", and
"CounterCultural Christians: Exploring a Christian Worldview" with Charles Colson. Ms. Lawrence has served various institutions within the Council for Christian Colleges &
Universities; Focus on the Family, Group Publishing, Gary Smalley, Glenn Wagner, author and founder of FutureLead; curriculum writer for the Wilberforce Forum; Thomas Nelson
Publishing, and others. She is most recently writing Eric Irivuzumugabe's book, "Father: Maker of Trees," published by Baker Publishing House. This work addresses the 1994 genocide in Rwanda Africa,
survival, forgiveness, and restoration. Coming Summer of 2009.
Mrs. Lawrence holds a B.S. in Christian Education and an M.A. in Theological/Historical Studies; she has just completed a D. Phil. with Oxford Graduate School.
She and her husband, Noel, with their son Jack, reside in Brighton, CO.

Joie Pirkey is the founder and president of Shouts of Joy Ministries Rwanda. She and her team have been working with the orphans of the 1994 genocide since its inception.
The accomplishments are numerable and plans for the future are innovative and exciting. Joie will be speaking at the dinner about the details of where Shouts of Joy Ministries has been and where
the ministry is going.
